Manufacturing Alliance Newsletter

May 2025

Hello {Contact_First_Name}!

Greetings from the College of Lake County's Manufacturing Alliance

The Manufacturing Alliance was created to unite our region's manufacturers in solving shared challenges, leveraging collective expertise and building a stronger, more resilient community.

Formed through a collaboration between the College of Lake County (CLC), industry leaders and key ecosystem partners - with support from local and state officials - the Manufacturing Alliance is built by manufacturers for manufacturers.

Our focus:

  • Building Community
  • Connecting Workforce & Education
  • Advocating for Industry

Stay tuned as we work to connect innovative manufacturers with the talent and tools to drive our region forward.

The Manufacturing Alliance Team

Building Community

Connect with fellow manufacturers, share experiences and build meaningful relationships when you join the Alliance. Throughout the year, the Manufacturing Alliance will host networking events, membership meetings that feature keynote speakers and content experts as well as an annual end-of-year gathering.

Attendees gathered at CLC's Advanced Technology Center for the Manufacturing Excellence & Networking Social. See more event photos

Connecting Workforce & Education

A skilled workforce is critical to long-term success. The Alliance is dedicated to aligning educational programs with the needs of manufacturers.

Manufacturing Alliance members gain exclusive access to two specialized programs within SME's Tooling-U curriculum: Introductory Manufacturing Topics and Leadership/Supervisory Training

Upskill your team by leveraging a recent training grant. Contact Jim Connell to learn how.
